COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A Columbus police officer was injured Thursday afternoon while chasing a home-invasion suspect on the city's Southeast Side.

Columbus police were called to the 1800 block of Marley Court at about noon.
Police said the suspect was trying to gain entry into an alleged drug house.
An officer spotted the suspect who allegedly was armed.
The officer was chasing the suspect on foot when he injured his knee.
The officer was transported to Mount Carmel East Medical Center by a medic.
The suspect surrendered near a power plant off Groves Road and was taken into custody.
