CENTRAL OHIO -- Two Central Ohio universities are investigating rape cases, and Central Ohio authorities are offering a free self-defense course for women.
A female Ohio University student said she was attacked just off campus Sunday night.
She said two unknown males dragged her into a parked car in the parking lot at Riverpark Towers and assaulted her.
The males pushed the female out of the car and fled the scene.
A female Ohio State University student reported being sexually assaulted by an unknown male on the south side of McPherson Chemical Lab MP about 8:45 p.m. Monday, according to police.
The lab is located at 140 W. 18th Ave. on the northeast side of OSU’s main campus.
The suspect is described as a white male who is approximately 6 feet tall.
He looks like he is college-age.
Monday's attack happened in a public place, but there aren't many security cameras in the area.
University Deputy Chief Of Police Richard Morman told NBC 4 there are more than 800 cameras in and around the OSU Medical Center area and campus police monitor the cams constantly.
Morman said there are fewer cameras in the common campus areas and the department is aware of this issue and is being proactive.
