COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Authorities are asking for the public's help finding the person who shot a man who was sitting in his vehicle last fall.
On Nov. 24, between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Josiah Jhainor was driving westbound on Morse Road.
Jhainor had just left the Target store at Easton and was returning to his home in the area of state Route 161 and Cleveland Avenue.
When he stopped at a red light at the intersection of Morse and Sunbury roads, he noticed a dark car with more than one occupant behind him.
The occupants in the car started honking the horn at Jhainor while the traffic signal was red. When the light turned green, Jhainor drove west on Morse Road in the curb lane and the dark vehicle that was behind him drove along his driver's side.
Jhainor told police he heard a loud boom and he suddenly crashed into Hartman's Trophy Shop on Morse Road.
Police said Jhainor had been shot once, with the bullet striking him in the back of the head.
The bullet exited and then lodged into the vehicle's passenger door.
Briefly unconsciousness, Jhainor, dazed, walked into a Westerville Road restaurant asked for help and then continued to walk three miles to his home.
Jhainor was transported to an area hospital from his home.
