COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A man was shot on a Columbus City Schools playground Monday afternoon, and CPD continues to investigate.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from local authorities.
Linden Elementary, 2626 Cleveland Ave., was placed on a level two lockdown at about 1:30 p.m. after a man was grazed by a bullet on school property.
An on-scene police sergeant said four males were on the Linden-area school's playground/basketball courts when shots were fired.
A male adult was hit by the gunfire. The other three males fled the scene.
The sergeant said the shooting was not school-related.
It could not be confirmed from where the shots were fired. The school has security cameras that will be included in the investigation.
School officials took the school off lockdown before 2:30 p.m. and allowed students to leave for the school day at the scheduled time.
CPD asked for more officers on the scene during that time.
CPD is looking for a black male suspect who was wearing a black hoodie.
The victim was transported to OSU Medical Center East in stable condition.
