COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A man died Monday after being shot in the back on the city's East Side, and police have issued a warrant for a suspect's arrest.
Columbus police identified 21-year-old Antwan Gripper of Columbus as the shooting suspect.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The shooting occurred at 1063 Elda Court at about 3:15 p.m.
Police said four people arrived at the location in a late-model gray vehicle and an altercation began between the group and a person outside the vehicle. Someone inside the vehicle shot the man and the vehicle fled the scene, police said.
Willie Williams, 22, was taken to Grant Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the back in critical condition.
Williams was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
