CANAL WINCHESTER, Ohio -- A multiple-vehicle crash closed U.S. 33 in both directions at Gender Road Sunday night.
Specific details are unavailable, but officials said the crash involved two vehicles and occurred on U.S. 33 at Gender Road at about 8 p.m.
U.S. 33 was closed in both directions during the investigation and cleanup. Westbound lanes and one lane of eastbound U.S. 33 were reopened to traffic shortly after 9:30 p.m. The remaining eastbound lanes were reopened at about 10:40 p.m.
Initial reports indicated that two people were injured in the crash and were transported to an area hospital. The condition of the victims was not known.
