COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A three-vehicle collision on the city's Southeast Side closed a portion of U.S. Route 33 for hours overnight, and deputies say one of the involved drivers fled the scene.

The crash occurred just after 1:30 a.m. on U.S. 33 near Ebright Road.
Franklin County sheriff’s deputies closed U.S. 33 between Ebright Road and Hamilton Road while they searched for the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
It initially was unclear if the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
Deputies later said the vehicle fled the scene.
Authorities reopened the route early Wednesday morning.
