MARION, Ohio -- Two men are killed in a head-on crash that closed state Route 4 for several hours Wednesday morning.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Marion post.
Troopers from the Marion Post are investigating a double fatality crash that occurred today at 2:34 a.m.
The crash was on S.R. 4 between state Route 203 and Prospect Upper Sandusky Road and happened at about 2:34 a.m.
Justin R. Shelton, 29, of Richwood was driving a 1995 Honda Civic southbound on S.R. 4.
Richard W. Baker, 38, of Marion was driving a 2009 Honda Civic northbound on S.R. 4.
The preliminary investigation indicated Shelton's vehicle was driven left of center and struck the Baker's vehicle.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene by the Marion County coroner.
The route reopened to traffic shortly after 9 a.m.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Marion County sheriff’s office, Pleasant Township fire, Battle Run fire and Stofcheck EMS.
The crash remained under investigation.
