» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

HILLIARD, Ohio -- Main Street in Hilliard between Norwich and Madison was closed to auto and pedestrian traffic as a precautionary matter for two hours Saturday because of a natural gas leak from a broken pipe Saturday afternoon.

An outdoor pipe connecting to a gas meter at a business near Center and Main in Hilliard was broken. There was a strong odor of gas in the area, according to those at the scene.

Gas company workers at the scene had to dig under an asphalt parking lot to locate the shut-off valve.

No one was injured during the process of getting the gas turned off.
