Two massive low-pressure centers are tracking through the eastern half of the US and we're sandwiched between them. Rain and showers will continue Saturday with an occasional downpour or two. Looking for at least 1/2" of rain and, in some areas, up to 1" of rain. That may be more than the rivers and streams can keep up with because they're already high from all the snow-melt in the past week.
Temperatures will slowly drop during the day Saturday as cooler air wraps around the closest low-pressure system. It'll be a breezy, chilly, wet day. Rain and showers continue on Sunday but not quite as heavy and without as many downpours. Some of the leftovers change to wintry mix Sunday night as the temperatures drop closer to the freezing mark. They'll be finished by Monday morning.
During the work week, high pressure builds into the region and helps clear out our skies.
