UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio -- Officials have issued a reward for tips in connection with a robbery in the Upper Arlington area last year.
According to police, on Nov. 16, 2009, at 9:45 a.m., the manager of a Lane Avenue Shopping Center restaurant exited the rear of the restaurant carrying a bank deposit bag.
As the manager attempted to enter his vehicle, he was approached by an unknown man who was armed with a silver handgun.
The suspect raised the gun above his head, pointing it at the victim and demanded the deposit bag.
The victim complied and the suspect fled southbound to Berkshire Road, where he ran eastbound.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-30's, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He is clean shaven, with possibly a large mole on his face. He was wearing gray pants, a two-tone brown shirt and a brown watch cap.
The suspect had a Spanish accent, but spoke clear English.
Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $2,000.00 for any information received by March 24, 2010, leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the persons responsible for this crime.
