COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A 54-year-old man was shot multiple times while trying to enter a building on the city's South Side early Sunday.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from a report filed with the Columbus police.

Columbus police was called to the 1200 block of Marion Road shortly after 4 a.m.

A 54-year-old man was shot multiple times while trying to enter a building. It was not clear whether the building was a residence or a business.

He was transported to Grant Medical Center in serious condition.
