WAYNE, W.Va. -- An Army deserter from Ohio has received a 160-year prison sentence for his role in the slaying of a West Virginia minister.
Wayne Circuit Judge Darrell Pratt sentenced Stephen Wilson of Cincinnati on Monday to 40 years for second-degree murder and 120 years for first-degree robbery.
A jury convicted the 21-year-old Cincinnati man in December.
Wilson is one of two men convicted of robbing and killing the Rev. Mark McCalla in June 2008 at a Beech Fork gun range.
Daniel Smith of Newport News, Va., is serving a life sentence with the chance for parole for first-degree murder and 90 years for first-degree robbery.
The Army has said Wilson and Smith went absent without leave from Fort Drum in New York in May 2008.
