HEBRON, Ky. -- A tow boat has sunk in the Ohio River and a crew member is missing.
The Kentucky Enquirer reports a search is to resume Monday morning after being suspended just after 11 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities in Boone County were alerted at 4:37 p.m. Sunday that a tow boat had gone down between the Anderson Ferry and Taylorsport.
Hebron Fire Protection District spokesman Michael Fronimos said two crewmen reached the Kentucky river bank in Boone County, but a third man was missing.
Fronimos said the survivors were treated for hypothermia. No names were immediately released.
Lt. Tom Scheben of the Boone County Sheriff's Office said the survivors were surprised how quickly the 40-foot tow boat sank.
Authorities said the river was moving swiftly because of recent rain and upstream snow melt.
