Canada To Promote College 'Up North' To Central Ohioans

»  Comments | Post a Comment

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A delegation from the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C. will be in Columbus Thursday and Friday of the coming week, trying to convince local college-age students that they may want to get their higher education in Canada.

It's called "Canadian College Fair," and like similar events held all the time in this country, it will feature representatives of various colleges and universities.

Those who attend will be able to ask about tuition, courses of study and application processes.

The only difference is that all the schools being promoted are Canadian.

A promotional blurb for the event says that 10,000 students from the United States are enrolled in schools in Canada.

The delegation is holding similar sessions in Pittsburgh and Cleveland earlier in the week. The Columbus Fair is Thursday and Friday at the Hyatt Place in Worthington.
