COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A flat-bed semi lost its load on Interstate 70 eastbound just west of South Front Street in Downtown.

Columbus police officers were called to the area of I-70 eastbound just west of the South Front Street exit shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Wooden crates and a large piece of unknown cargo fell off a flat-bed truck in the area of I-70 eastbound and South Front Street in Downtown.
The right lane of I-70 eastbound was blocked for about 500 yards.
Traffic on eastbound I-70 and I-71 northbound to I-70 eastbound was backing up at about 7:30 a.m.
CPD closed all lanes of I-70 EB at about 8:13 a.m. to get the load back on the semi.
A crane was being used.
Two lanes were reopened by 8:30 a.m.
All lanes were reopened by 8:50 a.m.
