While the Bucks might have been the hottest ticket in town, they certainly weren't the only one. Believe it or not, thousands of Central Ohioans spent the evening doing something other than watching football.
More than 6,000 took in the Columbus Clippers game, but many still had an eye on the clock.
"My boss gave me tickets. Going to be in a hurry. Want this to end so I can go to campus for Buckeye game," Theresa Kehagias said.
Bill Cohen didn't have Buckeyes on his mind. He chose folk over football.
"After this baseball game, I'm going to jam. Twenty guys with banjos and flutes jamming to folk music," Cohen said.
At the Arena Grand Theatre, the 7:20 showing wasn’t very crowded, except for a few film fans.
"I wanted to watch the game, but it's Family Day so we are watching 'Takers,' " Alexisay Ers said.
And they were not surprised to have the entire place to themselves.
“Not really. A lot of Buckeye fans out there. We are the only ones in the theatre," Nicole Nutter said.
Also choosing family over football was Cindy Patton.
"It’s our daughter's 15th birthday. So we did what she wanted to do. We are still supporting. We love the Buckeyes," Patton said.
