Charity Newsies Offers Free Clothing For Children

A new store opened Tuesday in Central Ohio, offering free clothing to qualifying families.

Charity Newsies opened the Newsies Store on Indianola Avenue. From September 7 through January 8, families can complete applications to qualify for 100 percent free, new clothing.

The store will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and beginning September 13, applications will be accepted during evening hours on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The organization is also taking applications and scheduling home visits and clothing store visits for children residing in Franklin County in grades K-12 that are in need of school clothing.

Last year Charity Newsies clothed more than 14,000 children.
