Celebrity Musical Guest Believes In Music For Alzheimer's Patients

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Roslyn Kind, sister of Barbara Streisand, recently performed for Alzheimer's patients at Wexner Heritage Village in Columbus, and believes in music as a form of therapy.

Researchers have shown that music engages memory function in a positive way.

A little more than five million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, which causes progressive memory loss.

A diagnosis of Alzheimer's can be very hard on families, which is why Roslyn takes time to visit patients around the country, providing musical entertainment that may rekindle fond memories of the past.
