COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A hit-skip crash turns into a shooting on the city’s Southeast Side.
The crash happened at Courtright and Refugee roads at about 6:30 Friday night.
Columbus police say Wayne Duff left the scene and was followed by two men involved in the crash, Laterrance Timmons and Donato Williams.
The chase ended on Marion Road. According to officers, Duff got out of his vehicle and fired multiple gunshots at Williams and Timmons.
Williams was hit several times and taken to a hospital in critical condition. He was later upgraded to stable condition.
Timmons was not hit.
Meanwhile, Chris Fenimore – who was behind both vehicles when the shooting occurred – was shot in the arm and torso. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Officers eventually arrested Duff at his home. He’s been charged with three counts of felonious assault.
