Bengals Wide Receiver Fined For Driving With Expired Plates

CINCINNATI -- A Cincinnati Bengals player who has frustrated his team with past traffic violations and the NFL with his police blotter was back in court last week.

Wide receiver Chris Henry was ticketed for driving with expired Kentucky license plates. He appeared in Hamilton County Municipal Court and paid the court $149, according to court records.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Henry, 24, for the first half of last season for repeatedly violating the league's conduct policy. Henry was arrested four times during a 14-month span.

After his last arrest, he pleaded guilty to letting minors drink alcohol in a hotel room he had rented. He served two days in jail.

The Bengals, who issued a statement expressing frustration with Henry when he was in traffic court a year ago for driving with a suspended license, were not aware of the latest ticket, a spokesman said.

A message for Henry's agent, Marvin Frazier, was not immediately returned Tuesday.
