COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday activated forward Derek Dorsett off injured reserve and then added defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen.
Dorsett had missed the past nine games with a broken right ring finger. Tollefsen will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on Friday and is expected to miss the next four to six weeks.
The 21-year-old Dorsett has one goal and one assist and 63 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He also has one goal and five assists in seven games with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
The 24-year-old Tollefsen, a native of Norway, has one assist and 31 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has appeared in 138 career NHL games with the club, scoring four goals with six assists and 267 penalty minutes since the 2005-06 season.
