CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers star LeBron James is 2-for-2 in 2008.
James was named the Eastern Conference's player of the month for the second month in a row on Monday.
James averaged 30.2 points, 8.9 rebounds and 8.5 assists in 14 games in February, when he also became the youngest player in NBA history to eclipse 10,000 career points. The All-Star forward has won the award seven times in his career.
The league's leading scorer, James led the NBA in points per game (30.2) and scored at least 25 points in all 14 games. He led all Eastern Conference players in assists and ranked 11th in rebounds while posting nine double-doubles.
Over a three-game span from Feb. 19-22, James posted at least 25 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists in each game. He joined Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson as the only players to reach those marks in all three categories in three consecutive games.
Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers was named the Western Conference's top player in February.
Also, the Cavs signed forward Kaniel Dickens and guard Billy Thomas to their second 10-day contracts. The pair were signed to 10-day contracts on Feb. 22 after the Cavs made trades with Chicago and Seattle and were shorthanded for a game against Washington.
