CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Reds reliever Todd Coffey has spent the last six months trying to make sure things are different this year.
Last season, his trips to the mound were often greeted by deep and angry boos swelling from every corner of Great American Ball Park.
The 27-year-old would try to block out the catcalls and get back to getting outs.
The Reds' bullpen was its downfall last season, and Coffey became a moving target for fans' anger.
He wants them on his side this year, so Coffey went on a strict diet and training program in the offseason. He trimmed his waistline and his delivery.
