Bengals Waive Schlegel, Manning

CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati Bengals have waived linebackers Anthony Schlegel and Roy Manning.


Schlegel is from Ohio State. The Bengals claimed him off waivers from the Jets shortly before last season started, and he played in 13 games with five starts.


Manning is from Michigan. The Bengals claimed him off waivers from Jacksonville last November, and he played in five games.


The Bengals took linebacker Keith Rivers from USC with their first overall pick in the draft last weekend.
