BEREA, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns starting safety Sean Jones will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery and may be sidelined for at least a month.
It's another blow to a unit that gave up nearly 500 yards in a season-opening loss to Dallas.
Jones initially injured his knee in the club's exhibition opener. Coach Romeo Crennel says the surgery will be done tomorrow.
It's the second major loss already this season to the Browns defense, which lost linebacker Antwan Peek to a season-ending knee injury last week.
Crennel says safety Brodney Pool planned to practice today and could be ready for Sunday night's game against Pittsburgh. Pool missed last weekend's game because he was recovering from a concussion.
