CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers forward Ben Wallace needed 14 stitches to close a gash in his right forearm after injuring himself over the NBA All-Star break.

The team said Wallace sustained lacerations from glass while playing catch with a football in Richmond, Va. When he got back to Cleveland on Monday, Wallace underwent further evaluation at the Cleveland Clinic and had more pieces of glass removed from his arm on Tuesday, the Cavs said in a statement.

The Cavaliers listed Wallace as questionable for Wednesday night's game in Toronto.

Cleveland's best defensive interior player, Wallace is averaging 3.1 points and 6.7 rebounds this season.

Wallace was not at Tuesday's practice. Coach Mike Brown confirmed Wallace received stitches but offered no more details on precisely how Wallace, a four-time NBA defensive player of the year, got hurt.

Wallace is approaching his one-year anniversary with the Cavaliers, who acquired him as part of a three-team trade on Feb. 21 last year. Coincidentally, the Cavs could be searching for another big man as Thursday's trade deadline nears and are believed to be inquiring about Los Angeles Clippers center Marcus Camby.

In other Cavs news, swingman Sasha Pavlovic was fitted with a walking boot for his sprained right ankle. The team said on an injury report that Pavlovic had a cast removed. It was the first time the team mentioned that Pavlovic, who got hurt in a Feb. 8 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, had needed a cast.

Also, guard Delonte West practiced on Tuesday. West, who has been out since early January with a broken right wrist, is listed as doubtful against the Raptors.
