Lauderdale Returns From Injury

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State starting center Dallas Lauderdale left the Buckeyes' game against Northwestern on Sunday after injuring his left shoulder, then returned in the second half.

Lauderdale took a pass and was putting up a shot when he was fouled by Northwestern's Kevin Coble with 3:47 left in the first half. The 6-foot-8 sophomore immediately ran to the left baseline in pain and lay on the floor for several minutes before being helped to the locker room by medical personnel.

A team spokesman said at halftime that Lauderdale had sustained a left shoulder sprain. He had the same injury in the preseason, which caused him to miss the team's exhibition games.

Ice was being applied to his shoulder and his condition was being evaluated.

Lauderdale was replaced by 7-foot freshman B.J. Mullens. But Lauderdale did warm up with the team at the half and then returned to the court.
