CLEVELAND -- LeBron James has been rewarded for having another great week.
Cleveland's All-Star forward was named the NBA's top player in the Eastern Conference for averaging nearly a triple-double in four games last week. James led the Cavaliers to a 4-0 record while averaging 30.4 points, 10.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists.
He recorded three triple-doubles and scored 43 points with 12 rebounds in a 97-93 win over Orlando.
The Cavaliers (57-13) own the league's best record and have won nine straight games. With a win over New Jersey on Wednesday, they would set a franchise record with 58 wins in a season. Cleveland also won 57 games in 1988-89 and 1991-92.
James has been named the East's top player seven times this season.
