DUBLIN, Ohio -- Tiger Woods committed to play in next week’s Memorial Tournament before noon Friday.

Woods committed before the 5 p.m. Friday deadline, but he kept some fans anxiously waiting.
Woods missed the 2008 tournament.
The 2009 Memorial Tournament will be held Monday, June 1, through Sunday, June 7, at the Muirfield Village Golf Club.
The tournament is a major PGA Tour event that features the best golfers in the world.
Some other players who have committed include Anthony Kim, last year’s champ Kenny Perry, Vijay Singh, Adam Scott and former Masters champs Zack Johnson and Trevor Immelman.
Tournament Director Dan Sullivan told NBC 4 Sports Muirfield’s magnificent look has returned.
