CENTRAL OHIO -- The NBC 4 Sports team awarded Davidson quarterback/cornerback Jake Trubiano as the first Football Friday Nite Player of the Week for the 2009 season.

Trubiano scored a TD, threw a TD and then broke up Westerville South’s two-point conversion attempt that would have won the game in Hilliard Davidson’s season opener, as the Wildcats topped Westerville South 21-20.

Trubiano and the Ironmen will take on Brookhaven this Friday.
