COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor underwent arthroscopic surgery on his ailing right knee yesterday, and is expected to make a quick recovery.
The surgery, which was first reported by Bucknuts.com, is said to be minor in nature and Pryor should be back to full strength in a couple weeks. An OSU spokesperson confirmed Wednesday that the procedure took place, and Pryor even wrote about it on his twitter account. "Had surgery lastnight buckeye fans it went well I'll b off my feet then off to work in 2 weeks. Go Bucks!!!!" he wrote.
Pryor first injured the knee during OSU's win over New Mexico State October 31, yet he finished the season with the injury, including OSU's win over Oregon in the Rose Bowl. He confirmed that he had torn the PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) in his knee and that the only real treatment for the injury was rest. As of two weeks ago, Pryor was still dealing with discomfort in that knee.
Ohio State opens spring practice April 1st.
